Breaking Afternoon News: Single-vehicle collision in Columbia County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash in Columbia County this afternoon that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:31 pm, a 60-year-old Lake City man driving a sedan was traveling north on Turner Avenue near Parks Drive.
The sedan left the roadway and struck a tree head-on with its front for an unknown reason.
The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the collision.
