Breaking Morning News: Driver dies after a single-vehicle crash in Alachua County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Alachua County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6 a.m., local deputies located a 21-year-old Lithia man driving a Kia Seltos off the roadway on US 441 and CR 234 West.
The vehicle appeared to have traveled off the roadway for an unknown reason and collided with a traffic utility pole.
The driver was located in the area after being ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene by EMS.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver.
