Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Levy County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8:15 am, a pickup truck driven by a 49-year-old Bronson man was traveling west on County Road 102 (NE 60th Street) west of NE 97th Court.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled over the center line and off the roadway onto the left shoulder and collided with a large tree.
After impact, the vehicle came to a rest facing west. The driver was declared deceased at the scene.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the collision.
