From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Clay County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:18 pm, amotorcycle driven by a 19-year-old Orange Park man was traveling northbound on Cosmos Avenue and collided with a truck driven by a 37-year-old Middleburg woman traveling westbound on Peppergrass Road.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A passenger on the motorcycle, a 15-year-old Middleburg girl, was transported to Wolfson's Children's Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to Orange Park Medical Center with minor injuries.
FHP did not release the names of the driver, motorcyclist, or passenger involved in the collision.
