Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after a two-vehicle collision in Gilchrist County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision in Gilchrist County yesterday that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:05 pm, a 29-year-old Fort White man driving a sedan was traveling south on US-129 south of NW 117th Place.
At the same time, a pickup truck driven by a 32-year-old Bell man was traveling south on US-129 behind the sedan.
As they advanced, the sedan moved onto the right shoulder and made a U-turn in front of the pickup truck, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.
The sedan driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The FHP did not release the names of either driver in the crash.
