Florida Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a report of an active shooter in Holmes County.  The suspect was reportedly a female who had recently checked out of a local hotel and told the staff she was going on a shooting spree directed by “God” in relation to the solar eclipse.

Two weeks ago, the state average jumped 21 cents per gallon. Then last week, the state average fell 5 cents before jumping another 8 cents.

The Trooper, who had recently received a Be-On-The-Lookout (BOLO) identifying a location in his area for the suspect vehicle, a 2019 BMW 440I with Georgia Tag TBZ4664, positioned himself in a manner that would allow him to see if the vehicle crossed his path.

Florida's average gas price is now on a 10-day streak of declines, falling a total of 13 cents per gallon since February 1.

Gasoline futures prices dropped 15 cents per gallon. The U.S. price for crude oil declined $5.73 per barrel (-7%) last week. Friday's closing price of $72.28/b was the lowest daily closing price in two weeks.
