Breaking News Overnight: Single-vehicle collision in Orange County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Orange County this morning that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 3:14 am, a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder driven by a 41-year-old Kissimmee man was traveling northbound on Orange Blossom Trail south of Taft Vineland Road in the inside lane.

As he approached, the driver failed to maintain the inside lane and struck the concrete center median, then overcorrected to the right lane, ran off the roadway, collided with a curb and light pole, overturned, and came to rest on its roof.

The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the crash.
