Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after single-vehicle collision in DeSoto County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision last night in DeSoto County that resulted in the driver's death.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:23 pm, a 48-year-old man from Arcadia driving a Ford Focus on State Road 31, near SE Ami Drive, Desoto County crashed his vehicle for an unknown reason and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
