Updating Breaking News: Single-vehicle collision in Orange County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Orange County last night that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:54 pm, a 2024 Hyundai Tucson driven by a 23-year-old Winter Garden woman was traveling northbound on Epcot Center Drive, south of Buena Vista Drive.

For unknown reasons, the driver ran off the roadway left onto the grass median and traveled northbound in the median. As a result, the front of the vehicle collided with a traffic sign support pole.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the crash.
