Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision last night in Nassau County that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:53 pm, a 42-year-old Macclenny man driving a sedan was traveling eastbound on US Highway 90 east of Rayonier Road. As he advanced,  the driver failed to negotiate the curve, ran off the roadway to the left, and overturned.

The vehicle struck four trees, and the driver was ejected.

The driver, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced deceased on-scene.

The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the collision.
