Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 10:25 p.m., a Mitsubishi Outlander sport utility vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Holiday man was traveling eastbound on SR-52.
At the same time, a KTM motorcycle, operated by a 21-year-old New Port Richey man, was traveling westbound on SR-52.
At the intersection of Parkwood Street, the SUV turned left into the path and was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The SUV driver suffered minor injuries, as did a 16-year-old male passenger and a 16-year-old female passenger. A 48-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries.
All four were transported to area hospitals for medical care.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver, passengers, or motorcyclist involved in the collision.
