Vehicle 2 - a sedan driven by a 38-year-old Ellenton woman was traveling north, on the outside lane on US-301, approaching Tallevast Road, in front of Vehicle 1.
Vehicle 3 - a sedan driven by a 38-year-old Sarasota man was traveling north, on the right turn lane on US-301, approaching Tallevast Road.
Vehicle 4 - a sport utility vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Bradenton man was traveling north, on the inside lane on US-301, approaching Tallevast Road.
Vehicle 5 - a sedan driven by a 43-year-old Bradenton woman was traveling north, on the inside lane on US-301, ahead of Vehicle 4.
Vehicle 6 - a sport utility vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Palmetto woman was traveling north, on the inside lane on US-301, in front of Vehicle 5.
Vehicle 7 - a pickup truck driven by a 33-year-old Ellenton man was traveling north, on the outside lane on US-301, approaching Tallevast Road.
The front of Vehicle 1 collided with the rear of Vehicle 2.
Afrter the crash, Vehicle 2 was redirected onto the right turn lane of US-301, collided with the rear of Vehicle 3 and overturned, while Vehicle 1 collided with Vehicle 4, Vehicle 5, Vehicle 6 and Vehicle 7.
The driver and passenger in Vehicle 2 were pronounced deceased on scene.
Five others suffered injjuries in the collision ranging from serious to minor, according to the FHP report.
The crash remains under investigation.
