Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Bradford County that resulted in the death of a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 2:45 am, a 37-year-old Keystone man driving a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on State Road 100 near L M Gaines Boulevard.
For an unknown reason, the pickup ran off the roadway to the right and then back across the travel lanes. After crossing the travel lanes, the right side of the pickup collided with a tree.
The passenger, a 35-year-old Interlachen woman, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver was transported to an area hospital for injuries.
This crash is currently under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or passenger involved in the crash.
