Breaking News this Morning: Driver dies after a fiery single-vehicle collision in Putnam County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Putnam County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:34 am, a 24-year-old Welaka woman driving a sedan was traveling northbound on Huntington Shortcut Road.
The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. After the collision, the vehicle caught on fire.
The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased.
This crash is still under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver.
