Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle collision in Duval County yesterday that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:29 pm, a sedan driven by a 20-year-old Jacksonville man was traveling southbound in the outside lane of State Road 23, approaching mile marker 34.
At the same time, a pickup truck was parked in the outside lane of State Road 23 behind a coned-off accident scene, and a sedan was parked in front of it.

The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The FHP did not release the name of the deceased driver.
