Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision in Pasco County yesterday that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 4 pm, a Chevy Colorado pickup truck, driven by a 55-year-old Spring Hill woman, was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Spring Hill Drive.
At the same time, a Suzuki motorcycle, operated by a 50-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling westbound in the inside lane of Spring Hill Drive.
East of Godfrey Avenue, the pickup truck merged into the inside lane and collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the motorcyclist involved in the crash.
