Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:37 p.m., a Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, driven by a 73-year-old Dade City woman, was traveling westbound on Wire Road.
At the same time, an Indian Scout Bobber motorcycle, operated by a 41-year-old Dade City man, was traveling northbound on US-301.
At the intersection of the two roadways, the pickup truck turned left into the path and was struck by the motorcycle.
The pickup driver suffered minor injuries, while the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist or the driver's name involved in the collision.
