Breaking Afternoon News: Motorcyclist dies after single-vehicle collision in Osceola County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this afternoon in Osceola County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:17 p.m., a 37-year-old Davenport man riding a 2017 Honda motorcycle was traveling northbound on State Road 429 in the inside lane near mile marker 5 (West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway).
As he approached, the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, ran off the roadway, and struck the inside shoulder guardrail.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist's name.
