Breaking Morning News: Pedestrian hit and killed by pickup truck in Marion County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle this morning in Marion County.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:56 a.m., a 63-year-old Silver Springs man driving a pickup truck was traveling north on CR-314A and struck a 36-year-old Silver Springs woman who was walking within the northbound lane just beyond a curve.
The area had no street lighting, and the pedestrian wore dark clothing.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene by Marion County Fire and Rescue.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or the pedestrian.
