Breaking News Overnight: Pedestrian hit and killed by vehicle in Osceola County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in Osceola County last night that resulted in the death of the pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, a 2008 Honda Civic driven by a 22-year-old St. Cloud woman was traveling southbound on Narcoossee Road, south of Jones Road in the inside lane.
At the same time, a 63-year-old Kissimmee woman was running east across Narcoossee Road, south of Jones Road.
As a result, the front left side of the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
According to the driver, she attempted to avoid the woman but was unsuccessful.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The driver reported no injuries to the FHP.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or pedestrian involved in the crash.
