Breaking News Overnight: Pedestrian hit and killed by pickup truck in Osceola County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a pedestrian and a pickup truck in Osceola County last night that resulted in the death of the pedestrian.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 10:11 pm, a 33-year-old Kissimmee man driving a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway approaching Celebration Avenue in the inside left turn lane.

At the same time, a 63-year-old Orlando woman was walking northbound across all travel lanes of Irlo Bronson not in a marked crosswalk in trhe direct path of the pickup truck. As a result, the pickup struck the pedestrian.

The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.

The FHP did not release the names of the driver or pedestrian involved in the crash.
