Breaking News this Morning: Motorcyclist dies after a single-vehicle collision in Lake County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Lake County this morning that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:43 am, a 25-year-old Ocoee man riding a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling southbound on Hammock Ridge Road in the outside lane.
As he approached, the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway to the right. The motorcycle struck the curb and began to slide along the sidewalk and grass shoulder, causing the rider to be thrown from it.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist's name involved in the crash.
