Breaking News Overnight: FHP looking for hit-and-run driver after fatal collision in Dixie County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a hit-and-run collision this morning in Dixie County that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, the crash was on US 19 at the intersection of NE 446th St in Dixie County at approximately 12:50 am.
A pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle within the outside southbound lane of US 19. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
The identity of the pedestrian is unknown at this time, pending further investigation.
