Updating Breaking News: Single-vehicle collision in Hamilton County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this afternoon in Hamilton County that resulted in the driver's death.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:45, while traveling north on County Road 143, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Jasper woman veered to the right onto the east grass shoulder.
The driver reacted by pulling the steering wheel too hard to the left and traveling across both northbound and southbound lanes before traveling into the west ditch. The driver then pulled the steering to the right, struck a tree, and overturned.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the collision.
